This study analyzes the impact of emotional experiences during gameplay on the immersion and enjoyment of players, focusing specifically on the romance system in *Stardew Valley*. The findings reveal that the romance system serves as a key element in fostering players' curiosity and emotional attachment, thereby enhancing their engagement with the game narrative. Through interviews, it was found that the romance system plays a pivotal role in the overall gaming experience, extending beyond its function as a supplementary storyline. Players formed emotional bonds through interactions with in-game characters, and this process led them to consider critically how their choices affect the characters and the environment within the game. This suggests that the romance system facilitates not only the achievement of in-game objectives but also deeper emotional immersion, offering experiences of emotional conflict and guilt that heighten their connection to the game world.
