This study examined the challenges and strategies for overcoming them in AI- and EdTech-based mathematics instruction through focus group interviews with teachers. The findings indicated a twofold categorization of teachers’ challenges, primarily organized around instructional practice: external and internal lesson-level factors. External factors included the school’s digital infrastructure and teachers’ psychological resistance to adopting these technologies, while internal factors included technology-centered, online-first, and an overemphasis on individualization in lesson design, as well as teachers’ evolving role, which has often been limited to the mere adoption of AI and EdTech technologies. To address these challenges, teachers reported the following strategies. Overcoming external factors involved strengthening administrative competencies and positive attitudes toward AI and EdTech education, obtaining practical support from teacher leader and colleagues, and teacher professional development. Overcoming internal factors involved designing standards-aligned lessons, balancing online and offline contexts, emphasizing collaboration and interaction activities, and strengthening teacher agency.

본 연구는 교사들의 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 AI 및 에듀테크 기반 수학 수업 실천 과정 에서 나타나는 도전과 극복 과정을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들이 수학 수업 실 천 과정에서 경험하는 도전적인 문제는 수업을 중심으로 하여, 수업 외적 요인과 수업 내적 요인이 나타났다. 수업 외적 요인의 문제는 디지털 교육 환경 부족, 교 사의 심리적 저항이 있었고, 수업 내적 요인의 문제는 기술 중심 수업, 온라인 맥 락 우선 수업, 과도한 개인 중심 수업, 교사의 수동적인 역할이 있었다. 교사들은 이를 극복하기 위하여 다음과 같이 노력하였다. 수업 외적 요인 문제의 극복 과정 에는 관리자의 역량과 AI 및 에듀테크 교육에 대한 긍정적인 태도, 리더 교사와 동 료 교사들의 실질적인 도움, 교내외 연수 프로그램 참여가 있었다. 수업 내적 요인 문제의 극복 과정에는 성취기준 중심 수업 설계, 온·오프라인의 균형 있는 활동 구성, 협력과 상호작용의 강조, 교사 주도성의 강조가 나타났다.
