This study explores methods of constructing a spiral syllabus for teaching similar grammatical items, with a specific focus on wa/gwa, hago, and (i)rang. We first identify the points where the differentiation of these similar grammatical items are most noticeable, through a specification of their form, meaning, and context information. Next, an analysis of the learner corpus confirms that discrimination in the use of wa/gwa, hago, and (i)rang is not achieved at the intermediate and advanced levels because all three items are introduced at the beginner level without sufficient context information. Consequently, this study proposes stages of presentation of wa/gwa, hago, and (i)rang from the beginner to advanced stages and specifies the focus of teaching and learning at each stage. The significance of this study lies in demonstrating a method for constructing a spiral syllabus that enhances the appropriateness of grammar use at the intermediate and advanced levels.

본 연구는 ‘와/과, 하고, (이)랑’을 중심으로, 유사 문법 교수를 위한 나선형 교수요목 구성 방안을 탐구하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해서는 먼저 유사 문법 항목의 형태ㆍ의미ㆍ맥락 정보 명세화를 통해 항목 간 변별성이 가장 두드러지게 나타나는 지점을 살폈다. 다음으로는 한국어 학습자 말뭉치 분석을 통해, 중급 이후 단계에서 ‘와/과, 하고, (이)랑’의 변별적 사용이 이루어지지 못하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 세 항목이 모두 초급 단계에서 제시됨으로 인해, 이들 문법의 맥락 정보가 충분히 교수되지 못한 결과로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 이를 고려하여 초급에서 고급 단계에 걸친 ‘와/과, 하고, (이)랑’의 제시 단계와 각 단계별 교수 학습의 초점을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 중급 이후 단계에서 문법 사용의 적절성을 제고할 수 있는 나선형 교수요목 구성 방안을 보였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
