The purpose of this study was to obtain implications for improving Korean labor human rights guidance materials by analyzing the guidance materials used in labor’ rights education in the U.K., where labor rights are well guaranteed. First, the current status of labor’rights education in the U.K. was reviewed (II). And one of the labor rights teaching materials in the U.K., were introduced and analyzed (III). Finally, the above discussion was summarized and the article was concluded by presenting the implications of the UK’s current status of labor rights education and guidance materials for Korean labor rights education (IV). Through , students (i) can experience the rights to be guaranteed as labors in various types of jobs, responsibilities as an employer, and the role of a union by diversifying the subjects of labor relations. (ii) The reality of labor problems such as discrimination and workplace harassment and countermeasures were presented in detail. (iii) Systematic teaching and learning was constructed using empathy and problem-solving processes. The labor rights guidance materials in the UK examined in this paper have a great advantage in that they help students to experience the labor problems they will encounter in society in advance and to suggest solutions. In addition, it can help students to engage in labor rights education more realistically by presenting the problem rather than the concept and then organizing the data in a way that provides information for solving the problem.

본 연구는 우리나라보다 노동인권 보장 수준이 높은 영국의 노동인권교육에서 사용하는 지도자료를 분석하여 우리 노동인권 지도자료를 개선하는데 시사점을 얻는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 우선 영국의 노동인권 교육 현황을 검토하였다(II). 그리고 영국의 노동인권 지도자료 중 <시작해요! 나의 노동권과 책임>을 소개하 고 분석하였다(III). 마지막으로 이상의 논의를 정리하며 영국의 노동인권교육 현황과 지도자료가 한국의 노 동인권교육에 시사하는 바를 정리하여 제시하며 글을 마쳤다(IV). <시작해요! 나의 노동권과 책임>을 통해 학생들은 (i) 노동관계의 주체를 다원화하여 다양한 근로형태의 노동자로서 보장받아야 할 권리, 사용자가 노 동자에 대하여 갖는 책임, 노동조합의 역할을 경험할 수 있다. (ii) 차별 문제, 직장 내 괴롭힘 등 노동 문제의 현 실과 대처방안을 구체적으로 제시하였다. (iii) 공감과 문제해결 과정을 활용하여 체계적인 교수학습을 구성하 였다. 본고에서 살펴본 영국의 노동인권 지도자료는 학생들이 사회에서 만나게 될 노동 문제를 미리 경험하 고 그 해결방안까지 제시할 수 있도록 도와준다는 점에서 큰 장점이 있다. 이에 더하여 개념보다는 문제를 먼 저 제시한 후 이를 해결하기 위한 정보를 제공하는 방식으로 자료를 구성함으로써 학생들에게 실제적인 노동인권교육을 제공할 수 있다.
