This study intended to extract the meaning of historical education by reviewing the progress and contents of the activities and analyzing the results of the six classes of cases in which the oral was applied to the exploration activities of school history. The availability of history education by teachers, various possibilities that the strengths of oral activities give to teaching-learning methods were reviewed. We explored the principles of activity and educational implications of historical exploration by analyzing learner-driven learning factors. As a result of analyzing cases of oral activities in school history, it was found that there was a strength of learner initiative gained from school history materials, which was advantageous for motivation. There was a learning effect that allowed people to experience the original characteristics of history by experiencing the "real" of exploration activities through the recording and interpretation of oral materials. Being an opportunity to practically shape historical research methods was the educational effect of historical education activities. Through these activities, accumulated school history data can be used as local history data, and furthermore, the meaning of it could be found even though it could be the foundation for developing local history curriculum.

본 연구는 학교사 탐구 활동에 구술을 적용한 사례 6교를 분석 대상으로 하여 해 당 활동의 추진 과정과 내용을 검토하고 결과를 분석하여 역사교육의 의미를 추출 해 보고자 하였다. 학교사가 가지는 역사교육에서의 활용 가능성과, 이에 더하여 구술 활동의 강점이 교수-학습 방법에 주는 여러 가능성을 검토하였다. 학습자가 주도할 때 학습에 유리한 강점 등 요인을 중심으로 분석하여 역사 탐구 활동 실제 를 통해 그 교육적 함의를 찾아보려 하였다. 2019년 K 교육청 소속 6교를 중심으로 실행된 학교사 구술 활동 사례에서 학교 사 탐구 소재에서 학습자 주도성의 강점이 있어 동기 유발에 유리함을 알 수 있었 다. 또 구술 자료의 채록과 해석 활동을 통해 탐구 활동의 ‘실제’를 경험함으로서 역 사학 본연의 특징을 경험할 수 있게 해주는 효과가 있었다. 역사학 연구 방법을 실 질적으로 체화하는 기회가 되는 것은 역사교육 활동 전개에 있어 강점이 되는 활 동임에 따라 교육적 효과가 크다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 활동을 통해 누적되는 학교 사 자료는 지역사 자료로 확대, 그 활용이 가능하며, 나아가 지역과 마을을 이해하 는 지역사 교육과정을 개발하는 기초 토대가 될 수 있음에서도 그 의의를 찾을 수 있었다.
