The purpose of this study is to examine whether forgiveness and approach coping responses mediate between peer victimization and life satisfaction. We collected data of 616 elementary school students in Gyeongsangnam-do to examine correlation among the variables. Mediation effects and latent profile analysis was conducted, and the following are the analyzed results. First, Peer victimization has negative correlation with forgiveness, approach coping responses and life satisfaction. Second, we set a research model reflecting that a child’s peer victimization could decrease forgiveness, and that peer victimization and forgiveness could be a prior factor of approach coping responses and life satisfaction; thereby, we applied and analyzed structural equation model. As a result, the mediating effect of peer victimization → forgiveness approach coping response life satisfaction is statistically significant. At last, we discussed meaning and limitation of this study.

이 연구는 또래괴롭힘 피해와 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 용서와 접근적 대처반응이 매개하는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경상남도에 거주하는 초등학교 4∼6학년 616명을 대상으로 또래괴롭힘, 용서, 대처반응, 삶의 만족도 검사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하여 연구모형을 설정하여 그 적합도와 개별 변수의 영향력을 알아보았다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 20.0을 사용하여 분석하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 또래괴롭힘 피해는 용서, 접근적 대처반응, 삶의 만족도와 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동이 또래괴롭힘 피해를 경험할 경우 용서 점수가 낮아지고, 또래괴롭힘 피해와 용서는 접근적 대처반응과 아동의 삶의 만족도의 선행요인으로 작용한다는 것을 반영한 연구모형을 설정하여 구조방정식 모형을 적용하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 또래괴롭힘 피해→용서→접근적 대처반응→삶의 만족도에 이르는 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 이 연구의 의미와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
