The purpose of this study is to analyze the issues of law-related curriculum. The analysis criteria include the educational goals, contents system, teaching methods, and postcondition of law-related education. These criteria follow the order of composition of the manifested curriculum. Based on the above analysis criteria, the law-related curriculum parts, from the 7th curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum, are analyzed. The issues of law-related educaton discussed here are as follow. First, issues on law-abiding consciousness and law-abiding education regarding the nature and goal of law-related educaton are discussed. Second, issues on integration and division of contents system are discussed. Third, issues on teaching methods suitable for the street law education are discussed. Fourth, issues on the textbooks and teacher training for the postcondition of law-related education are discussed. This study is to suggest the direction and the challenges of law-related educaton through discussions on the above issues.

본 연구는 법교육과정의 변화 과정 분석을 통해 관련되는 쟁점과 과제에 관한 논의를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 분석기준으로 법교육의 성격․목표, 내용 체계, 교수학습방법, 후행 조건을 기준 항목으로 구성하였으며, 이는 교육과정의 문서체제 구성을 따른 것이다. 이상의 분석기준을 바탕으로 7차 교육과정부터 2015 개정 교육과정까지 법교육과정의 내용을 분석하였다. 이를 통한 법교육의 쟁점을 다음과 같이 논의하였다. 첫째, 법교육의 성격‧목표에 관한 쟁점으로 준법의식 및 준법교육에 관한 논의를 하였다. 법교육에서 시민성의 요소로 준법의식의 함양은 중요한 목표라 할 수 있지만 법교육 성격이나 목표를 규정짓는 전부가 될 수는 없다. 즉 준법교육은 법교육의 필요충분조건이 아니라 필요조건이 된다. 둘째, 내용 체계에 관한 쟁점으로 통합과 분과에 관한 논의를 하였다. 이를 통해 사회과 전체 혹은 법과 정치의 통합과 분과가 이루어지는 과정에서 이에 관한 교육적, 학문적 논의의 필요성을 강조하였다. 셋째, 교수학습방법에 관한 쟁점으로 7차 교육과정부터 강조되어 온 생활법 중심 법교육의 교수학습방법에 관련된 쟁점을 논의하였다. 넷째, 법교육의 후행조건에 관한 쟁점으로 교과서 및 교사 연수에 관한 논의를 하였다. 본 연구는 최종적으로 이상의 쟁점에 관한 논의를 통해 이를 구체화하고, 법교육과 관련된 과제를 제시하고자 하였다.
