This research is to clarify counseling case conceptualization including counselor education, counseling supervision for a supervisee in the peculiarity of Christian counseling. In terms of the case conceptualization of Christian counseling, a counselor should deal with the ‘means of grace’ as a Christian resource. Not only secular counseling but also Christian counseling, case conceptualization is a very important counseling work There are three kinds of functions in counseling case conceptualization: (1) to understand on the counseling case (2) to explain on the case and (3) to educate/guide a supervisee. Christian counseling is that these three functions should reflect in its case conceptualization. There are many essential elements in case conceptualization. There is, however, absolutely no unified style, essential elements, and pattern in it. Although there is an unified style and pattern, case conceptualization that based on the own counseling theories will be made. Christian counseling may accept or apply essential elements of case conceptualization in which general counseling has been emphasized. A counselor, however, should deal with a religious/spiritual resources as the elements of Christian faith. For example, when a Christian counselor makes the family diagram(genogram) of a client, the counselor should draw religious/spiritual and Christian resources on it. The case conceptualization is an structure(frame, formulation, and lens) in order to understand a client's to problems. Accordingly, Christian counseling should view a client's case through transgression and hope. Also, when a Christian counselor approaches to treatment of a client's problem, he/she shall deal with a clients' transgression and hope. The transgression means hopelessness, and hope signifies the cognition of positive future(salvation, the hope on the Kingdom of heaven). Dealing with transgression and hope in Christian counseling is a minimal Christian counseling. Furthermore, future research ought to study not only Christian essential elements of case conceptualization, but also general Christian case conceptualization.

이 연구는 기독교상담에 있어서 상담자 교육이나 상담수련감독 및 사례개념화를 할 때 기독교신앙의 특성이 반영된 상담활동이어야 한다는 것을 다루었다. 사례개념화는 상담자가 내담자와의 상담내용을 충분히 이해하고 있는지, 그 내용을 잘 정리하여 설명할 수 있는지, 그리고 수련감독 상담자가 그 사례를 얼마나 잘 지도, 안내할 수 있는지 등을 다루는 것이다. 즉 사례개념화에는 크게 세 가지 개념(기능), (1) 이해 (2) 설명 (3) 안내 등으로 요약되는데 각각의 개념에 기독교신앙이 반영되어야 기독교상담적 사례개념화가 될 수 있을 것이다. 사례개념화는 상담자 교육이나 수련감독에서 필수적 요소로서 상담능력 향상에 중요한 것이다. 하지만 사례개념화 요소는 상담이론이나 학자들마다 주장이 상이하고 다양하여 일치되거나 통일된 것이 없다. 다양한 상담이론에 기초하여 그 요소들을 종합하여 양식과 유형을 응용, 적용하고 있다. 사례개념화의 종합된 양식과 유형은 상담이론과 기법 및 대상에 따라 지속적으로 수정, 변형, 발전될 수 있는 것이다. 기독교상담에서는 일반상담이 종합, 정리한 사례개념화 요소들을 수용 또는 응용할 수 있지만, 일반상담 사례개념화에서는 신앙적, 영적 상태를 다루지 않으므로 당연히 기독교상담 분야에서 신앙적, 영적 요소를 적절하게 응용하여 다루어야 한다. 기독교상담의 특성이 반영된 사례개념화는 상담목표수립이나 가계도작성에 있어서도 신앙적, 영적 가계도를 제시할 수 있어야 한다. 사례개념화는 상담자가 내담자의 문제를 이해하는 개념의 구조(틀, 공식, 렌즈)이므로 기독교상담에서는 핵심적인 두 가지 축으로 이해되는 죄와 소망의 구조로 내담자를 볼 수 있어야 한다. 기독교상담의 특성요소로서 죄는 절망의 문제를 의미하는 것이고, 그 죄의 용서와 아울러 하나님이 자신과 함께 하심으로 인해 절망의 상황에서 벗어나 긍정적 미래 인식(구원 및 천국 등)을 갖는 것이 소망이며 성장이므로 적어도 이 둘이 반영된 상담은 가장 기본적인 최소한의 기독교상담이라고 연구자는 강조했다.
