In this study, we made experiment workbook about measuring boiling point of water for middle school science gifted students and made questionnaires for students to answer in terms of basic inquiry ability. As a result of analyzing the experiment report submitted by the students participating in this experiment, the students tend to observe mainly using the visual sense. And before the experimental experience, students tended to explain the boiling phenomenon ambiguously or comprehensively, but after the experiment, they tried to explain it in a very specific and detailed way. Through this study, we knew that the educational materials for the science gifted students need to contribute to improve students' basic inquiry ability by providing concrete experiment experiences that ask for their basic inquiry ability.

본 연구에서는 중학교 과학 영재 학생을 위한 물의 끓는점 측정 실험 자료와, 학생들이 기초 탐구 기능을 이용 하여 응답할 수 있는 질문지를 제작하고, 학생들의 기초 탐구 능력을 조사하였다. 이 실험에 참여한 학생들이 제출한 실험 보고서를 분석한 결과 학생들은 오감 중 주로 시각을 이용하여 관찰하는 경향이 있었다. 그리고 실험 경험 전에는 학생들은 학생들은 교과서에 제시된 표현이나 이론에 근거하여 물의 끓는 현상을 모호하거나 포괄적으로 설명하는 경 향이 있었지만 물을 가열하여 끓는점을 측정하는 실험 후에는 물의 끓는 현상을 매우 구체적이고 상세하게 설명하려고 하였다. 이 연구를 통해 과학 영재 학생들을 위한 교육 자료는 기초 탐구 능력을 요구하는 실험 경험을 구체적으로 제공하여 학생들의 기초 탐구 능력을 향상시키는데 기여할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있다.
