This study aims to recognize the regional disparity of the employment in age groups, and to derive attributes and implications of each groups. This study has revealed that the dissatisfaction degree between regions of young-age group is the largest, followed by middle-age group and old-age group. It has also revealed that the employment of the young-age group is focused in Seoul Metropolitan Area, while that of middle age is in other metropolitan cities, and that of old age is in other provinces except Seoul metropolitan area. After the analysis of employment competitiveness, the region of employment risky for young-age group is Jeonbuk while that for middle-age group is Busan, Incheon, Gwangju and Ulsan, and that for old-age group is Seoul metropolitan areas and other metropolitan cities. In addition, factors of supply and demand are found to be important for young-age group while those of stability and supply are for middle-age group, and those of supply and matching are for old-age group.

본 연구는 연령집단별 고용의 지역격차를 파악하고, 고용경쟁력 평가지표를 통해 각각 의 현황 및 특성을 분석하기 위한 연구이다. 연령집단별 고용은 청년층, 중장년층, 노년 층의 순으로 지역 간 불평등도가 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 지역격차는 지속되거나 심화되 고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 청년층 고용은 수도권 지역에, 중장년층 고용은 비수도권의 광역시 지역에, 노년층 고용은 비수도권의 도 지역에 각각 집중되어 있는 것으로 나타났 다. 연령집단별 고용경쟁력을 분석한 결과, 청년층은 전북이, 중장년층은 부산, 인천, 광 주, 울산이, 노년층은 수도권 지역과 광역시 지역이 각각 고용위험 지역으로 나타났으며, 청년층은 공급 측면과 수요 측면의 항목들이, 중장년층은 안정성 측면과 공급 측면의 항 목들이, 노년층은 수요 측면과 매칭 측면의 항목들이 중요한 것으로 분석되었다.
