This empirical research examines the effects of hotel organizational service orientation on employee's service attitudes. The organizational service orientation has been considered very importantly for delivering excellent service quality in many existing studies. The data were collected from employees in deluxe hotels of Gyeong-ju with the questionnaire, and the several statistical methods were used for analysing. The results of analysis are: The author could find that the organizational service orientation factors gave the significant effects on employee's service attitudes. The ability of the staffs to provide high-level service will greatly contribute to the enhancement of service attitudes and productivity of the hotel industry. Organizational service orientation is important, it improves the productivity of the labor and the image of company. As a result, organizational service orientation is the new area where the hotel industry has to pay attention for the improvement of employee's service attitudes.

본 연구는 호텔조직의 서비스지향성과 호텔종사원과의 서비스태도와의 관계를 실증적으로 조사하고자 하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 경주지역의 특급호텔에 근무하는 종사원들을 대상으로 하여 267개의 최종표본을 가지고 빈도분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석 및 경로분석 등을 이용하였다. 요인분석의 결과로는 조직의 서비스지향성은 서비스기술, 서비스교육, 경영마인드, 서비스표준 및 임파워먼트로 나누어졌고, 서비스태도는 고객응대 서비스태도, 숙련된 서비스태도 및 시스템적 서비스태도로 요인이 분석되어졌다. 경로분석의 결과로는 호텔조직의 서비스지향성이 호텔종사원의 서비스태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 호텔조직이 종사원의 서비스태도를 향상시키기 위해서는 호텔경영관리사의 서비스 지향적인 인식의 전환이 필요하며, 동시에 종사원의 권한강화와 함께 서비스 교육을 강화해야 한다는 것을 시사하고 있다.
