This paper discussed the functional characteristic of auxiliary verb-a/-ə juda(-아/-어 주다). Most of previous reaches focused on semantic characteristics. However, this study concentrates on functional characteristic rather than meaning. Auxiliary verb -a/-ə juda has characteristic of directionality. It is originated in verb juda(주다). And its characteristic makes relation between A and B who are the participants of the sentences. In these relations, semantic characteristics of auxiliary verb -a/-ə juda can be captured.
