This study aims to present the development and implementation of a K-culture–based local culture convergence capstone design program and to examine changes in students’ competencies after participation. The program was structured as a capstone design model incorporating special lectures, team formation, local fieldwork, expert mentoring, content production, and a final screening event. Participating students created integrated cultural content combining storytelling, video production, and music, utilizing local cultural resources and the regional identity of Busan. A pre–post analysis was conducted to measure changes in creative problem-solving ability, collaborative communication skills, and self-efficacy. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in creative problem-solving ability, while collaborative communication and self-efficacy also demonstrated positive upward trends. Qualitative analyses of team outcomes and open-ended responses further revealed enhanced understanding of local culture, increased experience with multidisciplinary collaboration, and strengthened field-oriented problem-solving skills. These findings suggest that a capstone design program integrating local cultural assets with K-culture elements can serve as an effective educational model that fosters creativity, collaboration, and practical competencies among university students.

본 연구는 지역문화 자원을 기반으로 한 K-컬처 융합형 캡스톤디자인 프로그램의 개발·운영 사례를 제시 하고, 참여 대학생들의 역량 변화를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 프로그램은 전문가 특강, 팀 구성, 지역 필드워크, 멘토링, 콘텐츠 제작 및 상영회로 구성된 캡스톤디자인 구조로 설계되었으며, 학생들은 부산의 지역성을 활용하여 스토리·영상·음악이 결합된 융합 콘텐츠를 제작하였다. 사전·사후 검사를 통해 창의적 문제해결 능력, 협력적 의사소통능력, 자기효능감의 변화를 분석한 결과, 창의적 문제해결능력은 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었고, 협력적 의사소통능력과 자기효능감 또한, 긍정적 변화가 확인되었다. 팀별 산출물과 개방형 응답 분석에서는 지역문화 이해의 확장, 다학제 협업 경험, 현장 중심 문제해결 역량 강화 등이 나타났다. 이러한 결 과는 지역문화와 K-컬처 요소를 융합한 캡스톤디자인이 학습자의 창의성과 협업 능력을 증진하는 효과적 교 육모형임을 시사한다.
