This study employed a quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest time-lag design to develop and evaluate a case-based patient safety education program for Chinese nursing students. Participants were 25 in the experimental group and 24 in the control group. Patient safety knowledge, teamwork attitude, Professional nursing identity, and educational satisfaction were measured. The program covered five topics—understanding patient safety, patient identification, medication safety, fall prevention, and SBAR communication—and was implemented over six weeks using case-based simulation learning. Data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 with frequency, descriptive statistics, and independent t-tests. The experimental group showed significant improvements in patient safety knowledge (t=4.52, p<.001), teamwork attitude (t=3.14, p=.004), and educational satisfaction (t=2.72, p=.011), but no significant difference in Professional nursing identity (t=0.86, p=.395). This study highlights the effectiveness of customized, instructor-led case-based education reflecting students’ linguistic and proficiency levels. Future research should develop and evaluate integrated simulation-based patient safety curricula tailored to international students’linguistic and cultural needs to enhance their clinical adaptability and global nursing competency.

본 연구는 중국인 간호 유학생을 대상으로 사례 기반 환자안전교육프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증 하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전후 시차 설계의 유사실험연구이다. 연구대상은 실험군 25명, 대조군 24명이었 으며, 환자안전지식, 팀워크 태도, 간호전문직관, 교육만족도를 측정하였다. 교육프로그램은 환자안전의 이 해, 환자확인, 투약안전, 낙상예방, SBAR 의사소통 등 5개 주제로 구성되었으며, 사례 기반 학습과 시뮬레이 션을 활용하여 6주간 운영되었다. 자료분석은 SPSS 29.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, independent t-test 를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 실험군은 대조군에 비해 환자안전지식(t=4.52, p<.001), 팀워크 태도(t=3.14, p=.004), 교육만족도(t=2.72, p=.011)가 유의하게 향상되었으나, 간호전문직관(t=0.86, p=.395)은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 본 연구는 외국인 유학생의 환자안전 역량 향상을 위해서는 교수자가 학생의 수준과 언어적 특성을 고려하 여 맞춤형 사례 기반 교육을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 외국인 유학생의 언어적·문화적 특성 을 반영한 통합 시뮬레이션 기반 환자안전교육과정을 개발하고, 그 효과를 지속적으로 평가하여 글로벌 간 호역량을 강화할 필요가 있다.
