This study investigates the challenges of providing practical guidance and explores potential improvements by focusing on the lived experiences of lifelong education field practicum supervisors. Through a phenomenological approach involving in-depth interviews with six experienced supervisors, the study identified 12 sub-themes and five themes, which were categorized into two primary domains. The experienced supervisors demonstrated a profound sense of responsibility toward their roles, formulating and executing guidance plans rooted in their professional perspectives and experiences to provide diverse learning opportunities for trainees. However, several institutional limitations were identified: disparities in practicum quality across different institution types, a lack of support systems and supervision for field practicum supervisors, and the insufficient role of training institutions. At the core of these experiences was a significant burden and responsibility regarding the stable and qualitative operation of field practicum courses. Based on these findings, this study proposes enhancing the role of educational institutions, establishing professional support systems for supervisors, introducing a multi-supervision system through network between practicum Institutions, strengthening the accountability of both institutions and supervisors, and developing a motivation system.

본 연구는 평생교육사 현장실습 지도자의 경험을 중심으로 실습지도의 어려움을 확인하 고 개선 방향을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 현상학적으로 접근하여 지도 경험이 풍부한 평생교육사 6명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하고, 12개의 하위 주제와 5개의 주제 를 구성하였으며 이를 2개의 영역으로 구조화하여 제시하였다. 평생교육사 실습지도자들은 현장 교사로서의 역할 책임감이 높은 편이었고, 지도자의 관 점과 경험에 의존하여 지도계획을 수립·실행하고 있었으며, 실습생에게 다양한 학습 경험 을 제공하기 위해 노력 중이었다. 이 과정에서 기관 유형에 따른 실습 경험의 편차, 지도 자 지원체계의 미비 및 관리 감독의 부재, 양성기관의 역할 미비 등을 제도적 한계로 지적 하였고, 이러한 경험의 기저에는 현장실습 교과목을 내실 있게 운영해야 한다는 부담과 역 할 인식이 작동하고 있음을 확인하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 양성기관의 역할 강화, 실습 지도자를 위한 전문적인 지원 체계 마련, 현장실습 기관 간 네트워크를 통한 다중지도체계 도입, 실습기관 및 지도자의 책무성 강화 및 동기 부여 시스템 구축을 제안하였다.
