This study aims to find a strategy to secure global expansion capabilities while maintaining the cultural identity of the region by applying the glocal concept to neighborhood bookstores in the Jeonbuk region. Neighborhood bookstores in the Jeonbuk region serve as a complex cultural platform that supports local people's cultural enjoyment and learning, and have contributed to cultural reproduction, strengthening the overall diversity and autonomy of the local independent publishing ecosystem, and the virtuous cycle of the local economy. However, in the face of the challenges of digital transformation and the need for global connection, this study ▲ Strengthening identity through the development of local cultural records and publications and educational contents ▲ Securing domestic and foreign direct transaction networks through the establishment of online malls and multilingual SNS channels ▲Designation of representative bookstores by local governments and establishment of a foundation for operation of cooperative networks ▲Development of a ‘bookshop tour’ program linked to overseas indie book fair and global cultural institutions and experience in farming and fishing villages were suggested as major strategies.

본 연구는 세계화와 지역화의 융합을 의미하는 글로컬 개념을 전북지역 동네책방에 적용하여, 지역 고유의 문화적 정체성을 유지하면서도 글로벌 확장 역량을 확보할 수 있는 전략을 모색하고자 한다. 전북지역의 동네책방은 지역민 의 문화 향유와 학습을 지원하는 복합문화 플랫폼으로 기능해왔다. 또한 지역 커뮤니티 허브 역할을 수행하며, 문화 재생산, 지역 독립출판 생태계 전반의 다양성과 자율성 강화, 지역경제 선순환 구조에 기여해 왔다. 그러나 디지털 전환과 글로벌 연결 필요성이라는 과제에 직면함에 따라, 본 연구는 ▲지역문화 기록·발간과 교육 콘텐츠 개발을 통한 정체성 강화 ▲온라인몰 및 다국어 SNS 채널 구축을 통한 국내외 직거래망 확보 ▲지자체별 대표 서점 지정 및 협업 네트워크 운영 기반 마련 ▲해외 인디북페어·글로벌 문화 기관 협업과 농·어촌 체험 연계형 ‘책방투어’ 프로그램 개발을 주요 전략으로 제시하였다. 전북지역 동네책방이 지역문화·관광·출판이 상호보완적으 로 성장하는 글로컬 모형을 구축한다면, 지역과 세계를 잇는 문화적 연결고리이자 지속가능한 발전의 촉매제 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
