This study was designed to examine Taekwondo as an educational system of society using Luhmann social system theory as a theoretical foundation. According to Luhmann social system theory the educational system does not mean the organization, institution, department, or object of education, but the constant occurrence of the same event called education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine how Taekwondo plays a role and function as an educational system of society through continuous communication. The results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that the educational communication of Taekwondo contributes to the education of the system while taking charge of the education not included in the system education. Second, Taekwondo as an educational system has been independently differentiated and is reaching today. Third, Taekwondo instructors were re-specialized as educational actors and the Taekwondo education system was found to be a self-describing self-description system.

본 연구는 루만의 사회적 체계이론을 이론적 토대로 사용하여 사회의 교육체계로서 태권도에 대해 알아보기 위해 설계되었다. 루만의 사회적 체계이론에 따르면 교육 체계는 교육의 조직이나 기관, 부서, 대상을 의 미하는 것이 아니라 교육이라고 하는 동일한 사건의 끊임없는 발생을 의미한다. 따라서 본 연구는 태권도가 지속적인 소통을 통해 어떻게 사 회의 교육체계로서 역할과 기능을 하는지에 대해 살펴보는 데 그 의의 와 목적이 있다. 연구결과. 첫째, 태권도는 교육소통에 있어 창발의 결과 이자 제도권 교육에 포함되지 않은 교육을 담당하면서 제도권 교육에 기여한다는 것을 알 수 있었고. 둘째, 태권도는 소통체계이면서 동시에 교육체계로서 독립분화 하여 오늘에 이르고 있으며. 셋째, 태권도지도자 는 교육행위자로서 재특화 되었으며 태권도 교육체계는 자기기술하는 자기기술체계임을 알 수 있었다.
