This study empirically analyzed how migrants’ psychosocial factors influence settlement and entrepreneurial intention in the digital transformation era. A survey of 156 migrants in Jinju and Sacheon, South Korea, was conducted, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) examined relationships among collective memory, shared reality, place identity, and social capital. Results showed that shared reality positively affected both place identity and social capital, and place identity significantly influenced community integration, settlement intention, and entrepreneurial intention. Social capital affected community integration and entrepreneurship but not settlement intention. These findings highlight that belonging and meaning, rather than networks alone, are key to sustainable local settlement and entrepreneurship.
