Recently, China’s tourism performance sector has developed rapidly, yet the themes of most works still rely heavily on regional and ethnic cultural resources. How to expand new sources of content has emerged as a crucial issue for the sustainable development of tourism performing arts. This study analyzed how the classical literary work Dream of the Red Chamberhas been newly interpreted in tourism performing arts. Based on this analysis, the paper proposes three suggestions. First, in selecting themes for tourism performance works, it is necessary to broaden the perspective. Second, while respecting the original text, innovative adaptations should be emphasized to breathe new life into the classics. Third, through unique directing methods and diverse performance styles, the immersive experience and interaction of audiences should be enhanced. The integration of classical literature and tourism performance not only facilitates the contemporary transformation of culture but also offers important insights for the future development of China’s tourism performance sector.

최근 중국의 관광공연은 빠르게 발전하면서도 작품의 주제가 주로 지역문화와 민족문 화 자원에 의존하고 있으며, 이로 인해 동질화와 자원 고갈 문제가 점차 두드러지고 있다. 따라서 새로운 콘텐츠 원천을 어떻게 확장할 것인가가 관광공연의 지속가능한 발전을 위한 중요한 과제로 떠오르고 있다. 본 연구는 <오직홍루몽·희극환성>을 연구 대상으로, 원작 원형의 변용, 창의적인 무대 연출, 상호작용 경험이라는 세 측면에서 고전문학 󰡔홍루몽󰡕이 공연관광 속에서 어떻게 새롭게 해석되고 있는지를 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 논문은 세 가지 제언을 제시한다. 첫째, 관광공연 작품의 주제 선택에서 시야를 넓혀, 지역문화 자원에 과도하게 의존하지 말고 고전문학 등 새로운 원천 콘텐츠를 적극 발굴해야 한다. 둘째, 창작 과정에서는 원작에 대한 존중을 바탕으로 하되, 혁신적 각색을 통해 고전에 새로운 생명력을 불어넣어야 한다. 셋째, 독창적인 연출 방식과 다양한 관람 형식을 통해 관객의 몰입 경험과 상호작용을 강화함으로써, 관광공연의 문화적 가치와 시장적 가치를 동시에 높여야 한다. 고전문학은 관광공연의 내용 혁신과 형식적 돌파를 위한 풍부한 자원이다. 고전문학과 공연관광을 결합함으로써 문화의 당대적 전환을 촉진할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 중국 관광공연 의 미래 발전에도 중요한 시사점을 제공하고 있음을 보여준다.
