This study analyzes the academic writing performance of international students in Korean universities and aims to propose directions for Korean for Academic Purposes (KAP) writing education. For this purpose, writing assignments from 23 international students enrolled in the Korean Language and Korean Culture (01) course at University A in the first semester of 2024 were compared with those of Korean students. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted on format, style, content, organization, expression, and reflection. The findings indicate that, due to low student agency, international students did not fully utilize writing tasks as tools for learning. The study emphasizes the need to raise awareness of task goals, strengthen task-type and reflective writing instruction, and provide guidance on the ethical and effective use of tools. It also offers baseline data for the design of future KAP writing contents.

이 연구는 한국 대학 유학생의 글쓰기 과제 수행을 분석하여 학문 목적 한국어 쓰기 교육의 방향을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2024년 1학기 A대학 <한국어와 한국 문화>(01) 교과 수강생 중 유학생 23명의 과제를 한국인 학생 과제와 비교하였다. 형식, 문체, 내용, 구성, 표현, 성 찰 요소 등에 대해 계량적･질적 분석을 실시한 결과, 낮은 학습자 주도성 으로 인해 글쓰기 과제를 학습 도구로 충분히 활용하지 못하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 과제 목표에 대한 인식 제고, 유형별 및 성찰적 글쓰 기 강화, 윤리적･효율적 도구 사용 지도의 필요성을 강조하며, 향후 학문 목적 한국어 쓰기 교육 내용 설계를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 점에 서 의의가 있다.
