This study was conducted to determine whether emotional clarity and mentalization have sequential mediating effects between soldiers' insecure adult attachment and depression. For this, face-to-face survey was conducted on 392 soldiers. The SPSS 23.0 program and PROCESS macro(Hayes, 2017) were used to analyze the data and the results are as follows. First, insecure adult attachment showed negative correlation with emotional clarity and mentalization, and positive correlation with depression. In addition, emotional clarity and mentalization showed positive correlation with each other, and negative correlation with depression. Second, insecure adult attachment effect on emotional clarity, mentalization, and depression. In addition, emotional clarity effect on mentalization, and mentalization effect on depression, and emotional clarity also effect on depression. Finally, the sequential mediating effects of emotional clarity and mentalization were significant between soldiers' insecure adult attachment and depression. Along with the discussions of thoese results, limitations and guidances for follow-up studies were presented.

본 연구는 병사의 불안정 성인애착과 우울의 관계에서 정서인식명확성과 정신화가 순차적인 매개효과를 지니는지 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 병사 392명을 대상으로 대면 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 의 분석을 위해 SPSS 23.0 프로그램과 PROCESS macro(Hayes, 2017)를 활용하였으며, 분석에 따른 연구결과 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 병사의 불안정 성인애착은 정서인식명확성 및 정신화와 유의한 부적 상관을 보였고, 우울과는 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 또한, 정서인식명확성 및 정신화는 상호 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 우울과는 각각 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 병사의 불안정 성인애착은 정서인식명확성과 정신화, 우 울 모두에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 함께, 정서인식명확성은 정신화에, 정신화는 우울에 영향 을 미쳤고, 정서인식명확성은 우울에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 병사의 불안정 성인애착 과 우울의 관계에서 정서인식명확성과 정신화의 순차적 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연 구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 지니는 의의 및 제한점과 함께 후속 연구를 위한 제언 사항을 논의하였다.
