The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of college students’ attitudes toward AI utilization on their learning persistence and to verify the mediating effect of learning satisfaction in this relationship. To this end, an empirical analysis was conducted on 690 students enrolled in four-year universities located in Chungcheongbuk-do, utilizing SPSS 26.0 and Process Macro v4.2. The results revealed the following: First, attitudes toward AI utilization had a significant positive effect on learning persistence. Second, attitudes toward AI utilization also had a positive effect on learning satisfaction. Third, learning satisfaction was identified as the most powerful predictor of learning persistence. Fourth, learning satisfaction significantly mediated the relationship between attitudes toward AI utilization and learning persistence. Based on these findings, this study provides a theoretical foundation for understanding learner behavior in AI-based educational environments. Furthermore, it suggests practical strategies such as AI literacy education, strengthening instructors’ competencies, and establishing personalized learner support systems, while also proposing policy directions to effectively expand AI utilization in higher education in terms of educational policy and quality assurance.

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 AI 활용 태도가 학습지속 의지에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이 과정에서 학습만 족도의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 충청북도 소재 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 학생 690명을 대상으 로 SPSS 26.0, Process Macro v4.2를 활용하여 실증 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과 첫째, AI 활용 태도는 학습지 속 의지에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, AI 활용 태도는 학습만족도에도 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나 타났다.셋째, 학습만족도는 학습지속 의지에 가장 강력한 정적 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 넷째, 학습 만족도는 AI 활용 태도와 학습지속 의지 간의 관계를 유의하게 매개하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 AI기반 교육 환경에서 학습자 행동을 이해할 수 있는 근거를 마련하였으며, 나아가 AI 리터러시 교육, 교수자의 역량 강화, 학습자 맞춤형 지원 체계 구축 등 실천적 전략을 제시하며 향후 대학 교육정책과 질 관리 측면에서 AI 활용을 효과적으로 확산할 수 있는 정책적 방향을 제언하였다.
