In order to propose a more fun and effective teaching-learning method in Korean vocabulary education, this study discussed how to use video content based on common idiomatic expressions in university textbooks. To this end, 13 common idiomatic expressions were extracted from Korean language textbooks in domestic universities, and an educational plan was proposed on how to use video content according to the class stage. The findings indicate that video content provides nonverbal elements such as facial expressions, intonation, and gestures, which facilitate learners’ understanding of the meaning and contextual use of idiomatic expressions. Moreover, compared to traditional text-centered teaching methods, video-based instruction offers significant advantages by enhancing learner interest and supporting repetitive practice. However, the criteria for selecting video materials, difficulty control, and copyright issues are problems that need to be solved in the future. It is also possible to select videos produced with contents such as fairy tales and classics that can be used for non-commercial purposes. Video contents should be used more in Korean language education because it can help learners to learn language and culture together in Korean idiomatic expression education, and it can be an effective educational method for inducing interest of learners and improving actual communication ability.

이 연구는 한국어 어휘 교육에서 보다 재미있고 효과적으로 교수-학습을 할 수 있는 방안을 제안하기 위해 교육 기관 교재의 공통 관용표현을 기반으로 한 영상콘텐츠 활용 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 이를 위해 국내 교육 기관 한국어 교재에서 공통된 관용표현 13개를 추출하고 수업단계에 따라 영상콘텐츠를 어떻게 활용하여 교육하는지에 대한 교육 방안을 제안하였다. 이 연구의 결과, 영상콘텐츠는 표정, 억양, 제스처 등 비언어적 요소를 제공하기 때문에 관용표현의 의미와 사용 맥락을 이해하는 데 도움이 된다. 또한 전통적 인 언어 수업 방식에서 벗어나 학습자에게 흥미를 줄 수 있고 반복 학습도 가능하다는 데에서 상당한 장점 이 있다. 하지만 영상 자료 선정 기준, 난이도 조절, 저작권 문제 등은 앞으로 해결해나가야 할 문제인데, 영상의 저작권 문제가 없는 공용라이선스 자료로 한정하거나 비상업목적으로 이용할 수 있는 동화, 고전 등을 내용으로 제작된 영상을 선정하는 것도 한 방법이 된다. 영상콘텐츠는 한국어 관용표현 교육에서 언 어와 문화를 함께 학습하게 할 수 있으며, 학습자들의 흥미를 유발하고 실제 의사소통 능력 향상에 효과적 인 교육 방법이 될 수 있기 때문에 한국어 교육에서 좀 더 활용될 필요가 있다.
