This study aimed to identify the factors that influence the reporting behavior of mandated reporters. Data were collected from 427 individuals across 25 professional groups required to report child abuse in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, South Korea. Statistical analyses were conducted on the data. The results showed that while overall reporting rates and knowledge levels have improved compared to previous studies, recognition of emotional abuse remains low, and significant variations exist across professions. Factors influencing reporting behavior included educational attainment, experience in identifying suspected abuse, participation in child abuse-related training, institutional knowledge, perceptions of abuse, and attitudes toward reporting. Notably, practical experience—such as detecting suspected cases and receiving training—emerged as the strongest predictors of reporting behavior. These findings suggest that while the responsiveness of mandated reporters has gradually improved, disparities in awareness and knowledge still exist. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen education on emotional abuse, provide practice-based experiential training, and enhance institutional knowledge.

본 연구는 아동학대 신고의무자들의 아동학대 신고행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 이 를 위해 경남지역 아동학대 신고의무자 25개 직군, 427명의 자료를 활용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 아동학대 신고율과 지식 수준은 과거 연구보다 향상되었으나, 정서학대 인식은 타 학대 유형에 비해 상대적으로 낮고, 직군 간 편차가 확인되었다. 또한, 아동학대 신고행동에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 신고 의무자의 학력, 학대의심아동 발견 경험, 아동학대관련 교육 경험, 제도적 지식, 아동학대 인식, 신고태도 등으로 나타났으며, 특히 학대의심아동 발견 경험, 아동학대관련 교육 경험과 같은 실천적 경험 요인이 높은 변수로 나타났다. 이는 신고의무자의 대응 수준이 점진적으로 개선되고 있음을 보여주지만, 여전히 인식과 지식의 편차가 존재함을 시사한다. 따라서 정서학대 인식 교육 강화, 사례 중심의 실천적 경험 제공, 제도적 지식 보완이 필요하다.
