[Digital Society and Artificial Intelligence], which will be newly introduced in the 2022 revised practical curriculum, describes having digital literacy for data. Although the curriculum begins with data-related education in grades 5 and 6, data science education can be applied cross-curricularly. This study structured a data science class program using artificial intelligence based on the 5th grade curriculum. Converged with each subject, this program provides a variety of practical data utilization experiences. Students can develop practical data application skills and creative problem-solving skills by identifying data science problems in the learning situations of each subject and solving problems using artificial intelligence. If this research, along with expanding research on data science education and providing sustainable educational opportunities for students, is included, it is expected that we will be able to better accommodate talent with the data skills needed for future society.

2022 개정 실과 교육과정에 신설되는 [디지털 사회와 인공지능]에서는 데이터에 대한 디지털 소양을 갖출 것을 기술한다. 교육과정에서는 5~6학년 군의 실과 과목에서 데이터에 관한 교육을 시작하지만, 데이터과학 교 육은 범교과적으로 적용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 5학년 교육과정을 바탕으로 인공지능을 활용한 데이터과학 수업 프로그램을 구성하였다. 각 교과목과 융합한 이 프로그램은 다양하고 실질적인 데이터 활용 경험을 제공한다. 학생들은 각 교과의 학습 상황에서 데이터과학의 문제를 확인하고, 인공지능을 활용하여 문제를 해결해봄으로 실제적인 데이터 적용 능력과 창의적인 문제 해결력을 키울 수 있다. 이 연구와 더불어 데이터과학 교육에 관한 연구 확대와 학생들에게 지속적인 교육 기회 제공이 이루어진다면 미래 사회에 필요한 데이터과학 역량을 갖춘 인재를 더욱 많이 양성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
