Schools and education are changing in the age of generative AI. The role of teachers in education is very important. Effectiveness of teachers has a huge impact on students, and quality of teacher is one of the most influential factors in student achievement. To explore the teacher competencies required in the era of generative AI, we employed an exploratory methodology, focusing on recent papers and commercialized products, to understand the potential benefit and challenges of generative AI in education and to examine the teacher competencies required to address them. We first examined the technological evolution of generative AI and the resulting paradigm shift in education, and explored the benefits and challenges of generative AI in education. We analyzed the Melbourne Declaration, a recent Australian teacher competency standard, to explore ways to strengthen teacher competency in Korea.

생성형 AI 시대에 학교와 교육은 변화하고 있다. 교육에서 교사 역할은 매우 중요하다. 교사의 효율성은 학생 에게 커다란 영향을 미치며, 교사의 역량은 학생 성취도에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인이 되고 있다. 우리는 생성 형 AI 시대에 필요한 교사의 역량을 알아보기 위해서 교육에서 생성형 AI의 잠재적 이점과 과제를 알아보고, 이 를 해결하기 위해서 요구되는 교사의 역량을 검토하기 위해서 최근 논문과 상용화된 제품을 위주로 탐색적 방법 을 사용하였다. 먼저 생성형 AI의 기술 진화와 이로 인한 교육 패러다임의 변화를 살펴보고 생성형 AI가 교육에 미치는 이점과 과제를 살펴보았다. 최근 호주의 교사역량표준인 맬버른 선언을 분석하여 우리나라 교사 역량 강 화 방안을 탐색하였다.
