2015 revised curriculum and general discussion of the 2022 revised curriculum emphasized character education in connection with democratic citizenship education to foster community values. In this study, We are going to introduce the character education class plan through Novel Engineering, an integrated learning model. The reason why character education was chosen as the subject is because of the effort to solve the problem of students who do not have a good relationship with peers in the same classroom. After reading ‘Jane Eyre, the Fox and I’, which deals with the problem of bullying, which is constantly being discussed in the education field, a class was conducted to find a problem situation in the situation where the main character belongs and implement a solution method in the metaverse space. Zep was used as a metaverse program, and students were able to learn their role as active mediators in the bullying problem while creating a space where friends could hang out together and solve the bullying problem with zep's various functions. We expect that the experience of resolving the moment of alienation and timidity that anyone can experience through class will have a positive effect on the cultivation of healthy character.

2015 개정 교육과정과 더불어 2022 개정 교육과정 총론에서는 공동체 가치 함양을 위한 민주시민교육과 연계 하여 인성교육의 내실화를 강조하였다. 본 연구에서는 융합 수업 모형인 노벨 엔지니어링을 통한 인성교육 수업 방안을 소개하고자 한다. 인성교육을 주제로 선택한 이유는 같은 교실에 교우 관계가 원만하지 않은 학생 상황 을 수업으로 문제를 해결해보고자 하는 노력 때문이다. 교육 현장에서 끊임없이 거론되고 있는 따돌림 문제를 다룬 ‘제인에어와 여우 그리고 나’를 읽고 주인공이 속한 상황에서 문제 상황을 찾고, 이를 해결하는 방법을 메 타버스 공간에서 구현해 보는 수업을 진행하였다. 메타버스 프로그램으로는 zep을 활용하였고, zep의 다양한 기 능으로 친구들이 함께 어울리며 따돌림 문제를 해결할 수 있는 공간을 만들어 보면서 학생들은 따돌림 문제의 적극적인 중재자로서 해야 할 역할을 학습할 수 있었다. 누구나 경험할 수 있는 소외감과 소심함의 순간을 수업 으로 해결해보는 경험이 학생들의 건강한 인성 함양에 긍정적인 영향을 가져올 것으로 기대된다.
