The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of project-based ecological environment education on environmental literacy and ecological sensitivity. The study target was two classes of the 6th grade attending S elementary school in Busan metropolitan city. The research group and the comparison group are all composed of 24 students each, bringing the total to 48 students. While the research group received project-based ecological environment education program, the comparison group received a general subject class according to the teacher's guide. To analyze the effects of the study I applied a t-test. The research findings were as follows: First, there was a statistically significant difference in environmental literacy between the research group applying project-based ecological environmental education and the comparison group applying general classes based on teacher guides. Second, there was a statistically significant difference in ecological sensitivity between the research group to which project-based ecological environmental education was applied and the comparison group to which general science classes were applied based on teacher guides. Finally, after conducting a perception survey with the experimental group, the students showed positive responses towards project-based ecological environment education. These findings confirm that project-based ecological environmental education has a positive impact on both environmental literacy and ecological sensitivity.

본 연구의 목적은 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육이 환경소양과 생태감수성에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 있다. 연구의 대상은 B광역시에 소재한 S초등학교 6학 년 2개 학급으로 연구집단과 비교집단은 각각 24명이 다. 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육을 위해 각 교과별 교 육과정을 분석하여 교과 간 통합을 통한 프로젝트 기 반 생태환경교육 교육프로그램을 개발하였다. 연구집 단에는 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육 프로그램을 적용 하였고 비교집단에는 교사용 지도서에 따른 일반적 교 과 수업을 10차시씩 각각 구안하여 적용하였다. 적용 후 연구의 효과를 분석하기 위해 t-검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육을 적용한 연구집단과 교사용 지도서에 근거한 일반적인 수업을 적용한 비교집단 사이에는 환 경소양에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육을 적용한 연구집단과 교 사용 지도서에 근거한 일반적인 수업을 적용한 비교집 단 사이에는 생태감수성에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이 가 있었다. 셋째, 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육을 실시 한 후 연구집단에 실시한 인식 설문지를 분석한 결과, 프로젝트 기반 생태환경교육에 대해 학생들이 긍정적 인 반응을 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통하여 프로젝 트 기반 생태환경교육이 환경소양과 생태감수성에 긍 정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
