This study explored the adolescent ADHD experiences of young adults diagnosed with the condition to inform educational and counseling interventions. Eight participants (ages 19–29) underwent language network analysis focusing on medication use and negative perceptions. Results showed that while medication helped improve concentration, maintaining consistent use was challenging. Sentiment analysis revealed feelings of rejection and sadness tied to stopping medication and feeling different from others. Common negative themes included difficulty, sensitivity, and memory issues, along with sensory challenges like tactile hypersensitivity. These findings suggest the need for integrated non-pharmacological approaches, including academic support, peer relationship education, career guidance, and emotional skills training. While the study offers deeper qualitative insights into adolescent ADHD, limitations include a female-skewed sample and lack of analysis by ADHD subtype. Future research should consider gender and subtype differences, as well as comorbid conditions.

본 연구는 ADHD 청년을 대상으로 청소년기 ADHD 경험을 분석하여 교육 및 상담 개입의 방향성을 모색하 고자 하였다. 연구는 ADHD 진단을 받은 만19~29세 남녀 참여자 8명을 대상으로 언어 네트워크 분석을 통해 약물치료와 부정적 경험을 중심으로 그들의 주관적 경험을 탐색하였다. 분석 결과, 참여자들은 대체로 약물치료에 집중력 향상 효과를 느꼈지만 복용 지속에 어려움을 겪었으며, 감성 분석에서는 약물 중단시 남들과 다른 나와 연관된 거부감, 슬픔 등이 나타 났다. 또한 ADHD에 대한 부정적 인식으로 ‘못함’, ‘예민함’, ‘기억’ 등의 키워드가 두드러졌으며, 예민한 촉감과 같은 감각 적 어려움도 보고되었다. 이에 따라 학습 보완, 또래 관계 교육, 진로 및 감정표현 훈련을 포함한 증상 교육 등 통합적 비약물 개입의 필요성이 시사된다. 본 연구는 청소년 ADHD 경험에 대한 질적 이해를 넓혔으나, 연구 대상이 여성에 치우 친 면 및 ADHD 유형별 특성을 고려하지 못한 점 등의 한계가 있다. 향후 성별·유형별 비교 및 공존질환을 포함한 연구가 필요하다.
