This study analyzed the scenarios centered on Alpha in the movie and Buck in based on the dog's hierarchy, and then identified the differences in their symbolism and implications. As a result of the scenario analysis, the core symbol of Alpha extracted was the coexistence of humans and dogs based on the archetypal symbol, and the implied meaning was that he ponders the hierarchy with humans and eventually accepts coexistence based on trust. In contrast, Buck's core symbol was his inner wildness based on conventional symbols, and the implied meaning was that he lived acknowledging the hierarchy with humans, but his inner wildness remained. In the end, Alpha was a character who accepted the hierarchy based on trust and communication through overcoming difficulties in the first encounter between humans and wolves, and staged the possibility of coexistence with humans, while Buck was a character who only experienced smooth communication with humans, but then experienced the hierarchy between evil humans and dogs and awakened the wild instinct inherent in him.
