The rapid development of AI technology provides new opportunities for elementary school students in learning and daily life while also presenting various Issues. This study reviews previous research on AI literacy to explore its concept and sub-dimensions and analyzes the content of existing AI literacy education programs. Based on these findings, it aims to propose directions for AI literacy education focused on a counseling approach for elementary school students. The study results define AI literacy as a multidimensional concept encompassing technical, ethical, and applied dimensions. It was confirmed that AI literacy education for elementary school students should prioritize the prevention of AI addiction, the enhancement of empathy, the improvement of self-efficacy, and the support for learning and career development. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the necessity of introducing counseling-based educational programs to help elementary school students actively utilize AI, prevent emotional and social problems, and foster ethical responsibility. This study suggests that counseling-oriented AI literacy education can contribute to the constructive growth of elementary school students and the enhancement of their ability to utilize AI technologies effectively.

AI 기술의 급격한 발전은 초등학생들의 학습과 생활에 새로운 기회를 제공하는 동시에 다양 한 과제를 안겨주고 있다. 본 연구는 AI리터러시 관련 선행연구를 고찰하여 AI리터러시의 개 념과 하위요인을 탐색하고, 기존에 개발된 AI리터러시 교육 프로그램의 내용을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 상담적 접근을 중심으로 초등학생 대상 AI리터러시 교육의 방향성을 제안하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, AI리터러시는 기술적 차원, 윤리적 차원, 응용적 차원이라는 다차원적 개 념으로 정의되고 있으며, 초등학생 대상 교육에서는 AI 중독 예방, 공감 능력 증진, 자기효 능감 향상, 학습 및 진로 개발 지원이 필요함을 확인하였다. 또한, 초등학생들이 AI를 주체 적으로 활용하고, 정서적․사회적 문제를 예방하며, 윤리적 책임감을 함양할 수 있도록 상담 기반 교육 프로그램의 도입을 강조점으로 도출하였다. 본 연구는 상담적 접근의 AI리터러시 교육이 초등학생의 건설적 성장과 AI 활용 역량 강화를 지원하는 데 기여할 수 있음을 시사 한다.
