This study aimed to comprehensively examine the scope of music therapy ethics research through a literature review of domestic and international studies, with the goal of deriving directions for future research and implications for the field. Literature published between 2000 and 2024 was searched using keywords such as music therapy, music intervention, and ethics across 9 databases, resulting in the final selection of 25 studies. The analysis revealed that a substantial proportion of research focused on music therapists and their ethical experiences. In terms of methodology, qualitative research predominated in international studies, while survey research was more common in domestic studies. A thematic analysis categorized the literature into 4 variables: individual, education, competency, and research, which showed that most studies concentrated on ethical situations faced by therapists providing interventions, with relatively few addressing research ethics. This study could be considered meaningful as it classified existing literature on ethical issues in the field of music therapy and presented key ethical concerns along with directions for future research.

본 연구는 국내·외 음악치료 윤리 연구의 주제범위 문헌고찰을 통해 기존 연구의 흐름을 종합적으로 살펴 향후 후속 연구의 방향성과 연구의 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 2000년부터 2024년까지 발표된 문헌에서 음악치료, 음악중재, 윤리 등을 핵심어로 9개의 데이터베이스를 사용해 검색하였고 최종 25편을 선정하였다. 분석 결과, 음악치료사를 주요 연구 대상으로 하여 이들의 윤리적 경험을 다룬 연구의 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구방법을 살펴보면 국외에서는 질적 연구 의 비중이 높은 반면, 국내에서는 조사연구가 다수를 차지하였다. 주제분석에서 개인, 교육, 역량, 연구의 4개 변인으로 분석 한 결과, 중재를 제공하는 치료사에 초점을 맞추어 윤리적 상황을 설명하고 있었으며, 연구 윤리를 주제로 한 문헌은 상대적 으로 적은 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 음악치료 분야에서 윤리적 문제를 다룬 기존 문헌들을 분류하고, 주요 윤리적 쟁점 및 향후 연구의 방향을 제시하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.
