This study focuses on the effectiveness of safety leadership in top management team(TMT). It will be predicted that when TMT focuses on safety, it plays a positive role in the effective establishment and operation of safety management systems, while also enhancing the organization's safety performance. Furthermore, safety leadership in TMT will be expected to have the positive influences on members' safety self-efficacy and safety behaviors. To examine the effectiveness of safety leadership at both the organizational and individual levels, a multilevel analysis was conducted. A safety management managers and 661 members from 119 companies participated in the surveys. In order to reduce the problem of the common method bias, the response sources were separated and the surveys were conducted one month apart. The analysis results indicated that safety leadership in TMT had positive influences on safety management systems and organizational safety performance, with organizational safety management systems being shown to positively influence organizational safety performance. Additionally, safety leadership in TMT had positive influences on members' safety self-efficacy and safety behaviors, with safety self-efficacy being shown to positively influence safety behaviors. These results suggests the importance of safety leadership at both organizational and individual levels.

본 연구는 최고경영층의 안전리더십의 효과성을 알아보는 연구이다. 최고경영층이 안전에 초점을 맞추 어 리더십을 발휘한다면 조직 전체에 효과적인 안전관리 시스템 구축과 운영에 긍정적인 역할을 하고 조 직의 안전성과를 높일 것으로 예측된다. 또한, 최고경영층의 안전리더십은 구성원들의 안전에 대한 태도, 특히 안전 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 이는 다시 구성원들의 안전 행동으로 이어질 것으로 예 측된다. 이처럼 최고경영층 안전리더십의 효과를 조직 수준과 개인 수준에서 함께 알아보기 위해 다수준 분석을 실행하였다. 이를 위해 119개 기업의 안전관리 담당자와 661명의 구성원이 설문에 참여하였으며, 공통방법의 편향성 문제를 줄이고자 응답원천을 분리고 1개월의 시간차를 두고 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 최고경영층의 안전리더십은 조직의 안전관리 시스템 및 안전성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 조직의 안전관리 시스템도 안전성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 최고경영층의 안전 리더십은 구성원들의 안전 자기효능감과 안전행동에 긍정적인 영향들을 미쳤으며, 구성원들의 안전 자기 효능감은 안전행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대도 이론적 및 실무적 함의들이 논의되었다.
