The primary objective of this study is to explore the role and application of ChatGPT in international Chinese language education. Firstly, the study investigates the current state of global Chinese language learning, including the geographical distribution of learners, their main motivations, and learning purposes. Secondly, it delves into the challenges faced by international Chinese language education, such as the shortage of teachers, uneven teaching quality, and the transmission of cultural content. Subsequently, the study focuses on the potential applications of ChatGPT in international Chinese language education and improving teaching efficiency. Finally, it evaluates the effectiveness of ChatGPT's application in international Chinese language education and proposes future research directions and suggestions.
