After presenting the limitations of existing studies, this study attempted to analyze South-South conflicts and seek solutions through unification education, focusing on the division structure and division consciousness. According to the results of this study, the limitations of existing studies are phenomenon-oriented approaches, overlooks the historical and structural problems of South-South conflict, limitations of the centrist approach, lack of solutions, and failure to present a systematic connection with unification education. According to the results of analyzing the South-South conflict through division structure and division consciousness, the South-South conflict is a conflict between members living in division trauma, division habitus, and division consciousness. Unification education to overcome the South-South conflict includes education centered on overcoming division consciousness, education through overcoming division consciousness and peace education, education through combination with democratic citizenship education, education that prioritizes and values the dissolution of division consciousness between anti-communists and conservative divided people, and education to overcome the negative thinking systems.

이 연구는 기존 연구의 한계를 제시한 후 분단구조・분단의식을 중 심으로 남남갈등을 분석하고 통일교육을 통한 해결방안을 모색해보고 자 하였다. 이 연구결과에 따르면, 기존 연구의 한계는 현상중심적 접 근, 남남갈등의 역사적 구조적 문제의 간과, 중도적 접근의 한계, 해결 방안의 미흡, 통일교육과의 체계적 연관성 제시를 못하고 있는 점 등 이라고 할 수 있다. 분단구조・분단의식을 통해 남남갈등을 분석해 본 결과에 따르면, 남남갈등은 분단의식을 지닌 분단 속에 살고 있는 분 단 구성원들 간의 갈등이다. 남남갈등 극복을 위한 통일교육의 방안으 로는, 분단의식 극복교육을 중심에 둔 교육, 분단 트라우마의 치유 및 분단 아비투스 극복을 위한 교육, 반공인과 보수적 분단인의 분단의식 과 대립적 사유체계 해체를 위한 교육, 그리고 화해 및 통합을 위한 화쟁적 교육을 들 수 있다.
