This study serves as a follow-up to the research conducted by Kwon & Sung(2023), which reported the results of the survey on the demand for parent training program for multicultural education. The focus of this subsequent study is to present the results of a text mining analysis conducted on the open-ended responses to the same survey. In response to the question, “If you have any expectations for multicultural education training that is not only for multicultural families but also for all parents, please feel free to write,” parents provided free-text responses, and a total of 1,107 answers were collected. To analyze these responses, KrKwic, UCINET, and Netdraw programs were utilized. Frequency analysis using KrKwic, network centrality analysis using UCINET, and visualization analysis using Netdraw were conducted. The analysis results revealed that parents expressed a preference for practical, concrete training that includes various experiences and cases, rather than theoretical content. Emphasis on mutual understanding, equal consideration of the pros and cons of a multicultural society, consideration of incentives for training participation, and demand for engaging lectures were identified as important aspects in the content and methods of training. These finding are expected to serve as valuable references for the development and implementation of multicultural education training targeting parents.

본 연구는 전국의 초·중등 학부모 1,107명을 대상으로 진행한 ‘학부모 대상 다문화교 육 연수 요구조사’의 결과를 보고한 권미경·성기욱(2023)의 후속 연구로서, 같은 설문 조사의 주관식 자유기술 문항에 대한 텍스트 마이닝 분석을 실시한 결과를 보고하고자 한다. “다문화가정만을 위한 연수가 아닌, 전체 학부모를 대상으로 진행하는 다문화교 육 연수에 대해 바라는 점이 있으면 자유롭게 써 주세요.”라는 문항에서 학부모들은 자유기술 응답을 하였으며, 총 1,107개의 답변이 수집되었다. 이를 분석하기 위해 KrKwic, UCINET, Netdraw 프로그램을 활용하였다. KrKwic를 활용한 빈도수 분석, UCINET을 활용한 네트워크 중심성 분석, Netdraw를 활용한 시각화 분석을 진행했다. 분석 결과, 학부모들은 이론보다는 실제적이고 구체적이며, 다양한 체험과 사례를 포함한 연수를 원하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 상호 이해에 대한 강조, 다문화사회의 장단점에 대한 동등한 고려, 연수 참여에 대한 보상책 고려, 쉽고 재미있는 강의에 대한 요구 등 연수 내용과 방법에 있어 중요하게 참고할 내용도 확인할 수 있었다. 이 결과 는 학부모를 대상으로 한 다문화교육 연수의 개발과 실행에 있어 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
