This study was conducted to verify whether peer attachment and parental attachment of adolescents who have stopped studying affect on life satisfaction and whether self-esteem mediates between them. For this purpose, in this study, data from the 5th year among the panel survey data for adolescents who stopped studying were used for analysis. For data analysis, regression analysis was conducted to analyze the mediating effect. The results were as follows: First, it was confirmed parental attachment had a positive (+) effect on life satisfaction of adolescents who stopped studying. Second, it was confirmed that peer attachment had a positive (+) effect on life satisfaction of adolescents who stopped studying. Third, it was verified that self-esteem mediates between parental attachment and life satisfaction. Fourth, it was verified that self-esteem mediates between peer attachment and life satisfaction. Through these research results, some discussions and implications that can increase life satisfaction by improving self-esteem of adolescents who have stopped studying were proposed.

본 연구는 부모애착과 또래애착이 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도에 영향이 있는지 와 자아존중감은 그들 간을 매개하는지를 검증하고자 수행하였다. 이런 목적을 위해 본 연구에서는 학업중단 청소년 패널조사 자료 중 제5차년도 자료를 분석에 활용하였 다. 자료분석은 매개효과 분석을 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 부모 애착은 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도에 정적(+) 영향이 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 또 래애착은 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도에 정적(+) 영향이 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 학업중단 청소년의 자아존중감은 부모애착과 생활만족도 간을 매개함을 검증하였다. 넷째, 학업중단 청소년의 자아존중감은 또래애착과 생활만족도 간을 매개함을 검증하 였다. 이상의 연구를 통해, 자아존중감의 향상을 통해 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도 를 높일 수 있는 논의와 함의들을 제안하였다.
