This study aims to develop a practical Applied Theatre program in the field of drama and acting, based on the significance and objectives of contemporary arts & culture education. Through arts & culture education, participants not only undergo basic artistic experiences but also expand their perspectives on art and society, which can be relevant to their real-life contexts. Thus, this study presents an exemplary case of a program that enables participants to transcend their passive roles and actively engage in the process. By utilizing the Etude, an acting training method founded on System of Stanislavski who is a drama education from Russia, the 'Acting and My Story' program is conducted, and its outcomes are analyzed. Non-professional participants encounter opportunities to explore their lives through 'experience,' 'reflection,' and 'self-identity' throughout the program. This study aims to discover the significance of the 'Applied Theatre' program, allowing participants to apply the perspectives they have gained during the program to their actual lives instead of remaining passive experiencers. Through this endeavor, the study seeks to facilitate subtle transformations in life through the medium of art.

본 연구는 오늘 날 사회적으로 대두되고 있는 문화예술교육의 의의와 목적을 바탕으로 특히 연극과 연 기 분야에서 실제 활용 가능한 시민연극(Applied Theatre) 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다. 문화예술교육을 통해 참여자는 기본적인 예술체험 뿐 아니라 그 과정을 통해 자신의 실제 삶에 반영될 수 있는 예술 또는 사회적 관점을 확장할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 참여자가 수동적인 입장에서 벗어나 주체적으로 참 여할 수 있는 프로그램의 사례를 제시한다. 러시아의 연기교육자 스타니슬라브스키의 시스템을 기반으 로 한 연기훈련방법인 에쮸드를 활용하여, ‘연기와 나의 이야기’ 프로그램을 진행한 후, 그 결과를 도출 한다. 비전공자인 참여자들은 프로그램의 전 과정을 통해 자신의 삶을 바탕으로 ‘경험’과 ‘성찰’ 그리고 ‘자아정체성’을 확인할 수 있는 기회를 마주한다. 본 연구는 이러한 프로그램 체험을 통해 참여자가 수동 적인 체험자의 위치에서 머무는 것이 아니라, 프로그램 과정 동안 발견한 관점을 실제 자신의 삶에 적용 할 수 있도록 ‘시민연극(Applied Theatre)’ 프로그램으로써의 의미를 발견하고자 한다. 이를 통해 예술을 통한 삶의 미약한 변화를 시도한다.
