This study is conducted to analyze the effects of the job characteristics of regional crime scene investigators on job satisfaction. Through previous research on job characteristics, the job characteristics of regional crime scene investigators are composed of five sub-factors, such as functional diversity, job importance, job identity, autonomy, and feedback, and the causal relationship with job satisfaction is empirically verified. For this study, a questionnaire is distributed to 350 regional crime scene investigators belonging to the Seoul and Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency who are dispatched to various incident sites and performing on-site identification, and 340 of them are collected and used for empirical analysis. Statistical analysis is performed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program for data analysis. As a result of regression analysis, it is found that functional diversity and autonomy among the sub-factors of job characteristics has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Based on this, policy directions such as strengthening professionalism, providing education and Establishment of a branch office of the Police Investigation Training Institute training opportunities, and granting business discretion are presented to enhance job satisfaction for regional crime scene investigators.

본 연구는 광역과학수사 경찰관의 직무특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 직무특성에 대한 선행연구를 통하여 광역과학수사 경찰관의 직무특 성을 기능다양성, 직무중요성, 직무정체성, 자율성, 피드백 등 5개의 하위요인으로 구성 하였고, 직무만족과의 인과관계를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 이 연구를 위해 각종 사건현 장에 출동하여 현장감식 업무를 수행하고 있는 서울 및 경기남부경찰청 소속 광역과학 수사 경찰관 350명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하였고, 그 중 수집된 340부를 실증분석에 활용하였다. 자료 분석은 IBM SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 회귀분석 결과, 직무특성의 하위요인 중 기능다양성과 자율성이 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며. 이를 토대로, 광역과학수사 경찰관에 대한 직무만족 을 제고하기 위하여 전문성강화 및 경찰수사연수원 분소 신설, 교육훈련 기회의 제공, 업무 재량권 부여 등의 정책적 방향을 제시하였다
