In this study, the synthetic index of Korean was calculated for spoken language. The synthetic index is a concept that indicates how many morphemes are contained in a word on average, and through this concept, it is possible to know how a complex structure a Korean word has. The synthetic index of Korean spoken language was 2.45, which was found to be in the middle of the synthetic language range presented by Greenberg(1954). Compared to Choi(2013), who calculated the synthetic index of written Korean, the synthetic index of spoken Korean appeared relatively low. The deviation of the synthetic index between spoken texts was not small at 0.73, which is believed to be due to the fact that the ratio of Chinese characters used varies depending on the text. However, when comparing private conversation texts and messenger conversation texts in which Chinese characters are used at a very low rate, messenger conversation texts showed a higher synthetic index. This seems to be because the messenger conversation text has the characteristics of written language as well as spoken language.

본 연구에서는 구어를 대상으로 한국어의 통합성 지수를 산출하였다. 통합성 지수란 한 단어 안에 평균적으로 몇 개의 형태소가 들어있는지를 나타내는 개념으로, 이 수치를 통해 유형론적으로 한국어의 단어가 얼마 나 복잡한 구조를 가질 수 있는지를 알 수 있다. 한국어 구어의 통합성 지 수는 2.45로, Greenberg(1954)에서 제시한 통합적 언어의 중간에 위치하는 것 으로 나타났다. 한국어 문어의 통합성 지수를 산출했던 최형용(2013)과 비 교해 보았을 때, 한국어 구어의 통합성 지수는 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 구 어 텍스트 사이의 통합성 지수 편차는 0.73으로 작지 않게 조사되었는데, 이는 텍스트에 따라 한자어가 사용되는 비율이 차이난다는 사실에 기인 한 것으로 판단된다. 다만 한자어가 매우 적은 비율로 사용되는 사적 대 화 텍스트와 메신저 대화 텍스트를 비교해 보았을 때, 메신저 대화 텍스 트가 더 높은 통합성 지수를 보였다. 이는 메신저 대화 텍스트가 구어의 성격과 함께 문어의 성격 또한 가지기 때문인 것으로 보인다.
