This study aims to examine the actual smart farm attitudes of elementary school students and see if there are any differences based on their experiences with agriculture at home and at school. After the development and validation of a smart farm attitude scale, a survey of fifth and sixth grades students at 16 elementary schools in Chungcheong-do was conducted in order to achieve out goal. The survey data were used to determine the level of smart farm attitude among the participants, and differences according to prior agricultural experience were then examined. The research results are detailed below. First, it was determined that elementary school students had an average level of smart farm attitude, though it was slightly higher than the perception in the fields of science and technology and general agriculture education reported in earlier studies. Second, there were gender and grade-specific differences in elementary school students' attitudes toward smart farms. There were no regional differences. Third, smart farm attitude level varied depending on the agricultural experience at school. We still got the same results even after accounting for how much students already knew about smart farms.

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 스마트팜에 대한 태도가 실제로 어떠한지 확인하고, 학생들이 학교와 가정에서 경험하는 농업경험에 따라서 스마트팜에 대한 태도에 차이를 보이는지 확인하는 것이다. 이 를 위해 스마트팜에 대한 태도 척도를 개발하여 타당화하고, 충청도 소재의 16개 초등학교의 5, 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 조사를 시행하였다. 조사된 자료를 바탕으로 연구 대상의 스마트팜에 관한 태도 수 준이 어떠한지 파악한 후, 농업경험에 따른 차이를 살펴보았다. 구체적인 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 초등학생의 스마트팜에 관한 태도 수준은 평균 수준이었으나, 선행연구에서 조사된 과학･기술 분야 에서의 인식이나 교양농업교육 인식보다는 다소 높은 수준인 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 초등학생의 스 마트팜에 관한 태도는 학년과 성별에 따라서 차이가 있었다. 학년이 높거나 남학생인 경우에 스마트팜 에 관한 태도 수준이 높았으며, 지역에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 스마트팜에 관한 태도 수 준은 학교에서의 농업경험에 따라서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 가정에서의 농업경험은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 기존에 스마트팜에 대해 얼마나 알고 있었는지를 고려한 경우에 도 동일하게 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에 대한 제언과 실과교육 측면에서 초등 학교 현장에 적용할 수 있는 제언을 제안하였다.
