First, as a result of the analysis of the narrative program, if it is feasible, the former was 'a change in the atmosphere of Joseon through victory' and the latter was 'recovery of the atmosphere in Joseon through victory'. Then, as a result of substituting the two works into Modele Actantial, the common sender was Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the receiver was Joseon. And the collaborators were the general's wisdom and strength and Joseon's navy. However, the target and opponents were slightly different, but the target was ‘Great Victory’ in the former and ‘Victory’ in the latter. On the surface, the opponent was ‘Wakizaka’ for the former and ‘Kurushima’ for the latter, but behind the two was Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Comparing the myths of Admiral Yi Sun-sin based on the above research process, the expression image in the former embodies a 'confident and competent general' as an outstanding general of Joseon full of confidence, and the content image is a leader who can read the situation of Joseon at the time. 본 연구는 인물지의 영웅론을 기저로 영화 한산과 명량을 이야기체 구조 측면에서 서술프로그램을 활용하 여 전체 맥락을 파악한 후 행위소 모형에 적용하여 같 은 발신자라 하더라도 각 요소들은 어떠한 차이가 있는 지 밝힌 다음 그 결과를 바탕으로 이순신 장군의 상황 과 나이의 변화에 따른 함의와 신화의 차이를 알아내려 는 시도였다. 서술프로그램 분석 결과 연접이 가능하면 전자는 ‘압도적 승리를 통한 조선의 사기 진작’이었고 후자는 ‘필승(必勝)을 통한 조선의 국운 회복’이었다. 그 다음 두 작품을 행위소 모형에 대입한 결과 공통적 으로 발신자는 이순신 장군이었고 수신자는 조선이었 다. 그리고 협조자는 장군의 지략과 용력 그리고 조선 수군이었다. 대상과 반대자는 조금 달랐는데 대상은 전 자에서는 ‘압도적 승리’였고 후자에서는 ‘필승’이었다. 반대자는 표면적으로 전자는 ‘와키자카’ 였고 후자는 ‘구루시마’ 였지만 두 사람 뒤에는 토요토미 히데요시 가 있었다. 위와 같은 연구 과정을 바탕으로 이순신 장 군의 함의와 신화를 비교해보면 전자에서 표현이미지는 자신감이 넘치는 조선의 출중한 장군으로서 기수 역할 을 자처하는 ‘당당하고 유능한 장군’을 형상화하였고 내용이미지는 당시 조선의 판세를 읽을 줄 아는 혜안을 가진 지도자로서 결국 ‘충(忠)을 기저로 한 지장(智將)’ 의 신화를 담고 있었다. 후자에서 표현이미지는 조선의 노장으로서 반드시 이겨야 한다는 신념을 바탕으로 ‘혼 신을 다하는 장군’을 형상화하였고 내용이미지는 이미 죽기를 각오한 장수가 조선과 백성을 위해 용렬하게 싸 우는 불굴의 의지가 내재된 ‘위민(爲民)을 기저로 한 용장(勇將)’의 신화를 담고 있었다.
