The purpose of this study is to examine the direction of Christian character education in the postmodern era. The direction of character education can be summarized as follows. Firstly, Christian character education in the postmodern era seeks to restore the image of God. Secondly, the content of Christian character education is centered on the Bible, with fundamental components including the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit, the character of God, and core virtues related to Christian personality. Thirdly, methods of Christian character education in the postmodern era include prayer and worship, learner-centered church education, community and relationship-oriented education, education through multimedia and communication, and Christian fusion education. While it is true that humans cannot transcend time, we live in a postmodern era, which presents both challenges and opportunities for Christian character education. Rather than viewing postmodern influences as wholly negative, it is important to recognize that various philosophical ideas and trends can be used as both a task to be overcome and a tool to be utilized effectively. The direction of Christian character education should also take into account the diversity and individuality of each community in the postmodern era, as well as the potential for utilizing the unique characteristics of each person to promote effective Christian character education.

본 연구의 목적은 포스트모더니즘 시대 교회 내에서의 기독교 인성교육의 방향을 탐색해 보는 것이다. 인성교육의 방향은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 포스트모더니즘 시대 기 독교 인성교육의 목적은 하나님의 형상을 회복하는 것이다. 둘째, 포스트모더니즘 시 대 기독교 인성교육의 내용은 성경을 중심으로 한다. 성경을 중심으로 기독교 인성교 육의 근본적인 내용으로 십계명, 팔 복, 성령의 9가지 열매, 하나님의 성품, 기독교 인 성 구성 요인을 추출한 내용, 인성 구성 요인과 관련된 핵심 덕목을 기독교 인성 구 성 요인으로 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 셋째, 포스트모더니즘 시대 기독교 인성교육 방법은 기도와 예배이다. 넷째, 학습자 중심 교회 교육, 공동체와 관계 중심적인 교육, 멀티미 디어와 커뮤니케이션을 통한 교육, 기독교 융합 교육을 시행하는 것이다. 인간은 시대 를 초월해서 살 수 없다. 우리는 포스트모더니즘 시대 살고 있다. 이에 따라 바람직하 지 못한 기독교적 전통이 있다면 회복해야 한다. 포스트모더니즘적 영향을 부정적으 로만 바라볼 필요는 없다. 포스트모더니즘만 기독교에 부정적 영향을 준 것만은 아니 다. 포스트모더니즘과 동시에 여러 철학적 사상들은 기독교가 극복해야 하는 과제이 면서 잘 활용해야 하는 도구이기도 하다. 포스트모더니즘 시대 특성을 잘 활용하면 오히려 긍정적인 부분으로 활용할 수 있다. 포스트모더니즘 시대 기독교 인성교육의 방향은 교회뿐만 아니라 개인이 속한 다양한 공동체에 관심을 가져야 한다. 포스트모 더니즘 시대 각자가 속한 공동체 속에서 가지는 다양성과 개성을 인정할 필요가 있 다. 공동체 속에서 한 사람, 한 사람이 갖는 특성을 잘 활용하면 오히려 기독교 인성 교육을 훨씬 효과적으로 할 수 있다.
