The purpose of this study is to shed light on the culture and value of major national events through the analysis of the stage composition and directing of the opening and closing ceremonies of the PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games, and to lay the groundwork for future stage directing research for mega events for the disabled. Accordingly, the production of each scene according to the stage composition of the cultural performance performed in the stage space of the opening and closing ceremony was examined, and the meaning and value experienced by the enjoyer was derived through the theme, story, expression element, and stage direction made in the space. First, by creatively and modernly expressing cultural arts of various genres on the stage space, the diversity of the host country was showcased and unique cultural values and abilities were showcased. Second, the spirit of the Paralympic Games and the identity of the PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games were acquired through a message conveying the dream and vision of creating a world where disabled and non-disabled performances express the stage space together, breaking down boundaries, acknowledging differences, and coexisting. Third, in Pyeongchang, where the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympics were held, Pyeongchang's cultural resources, traditional Arirang and new Arirang, were created together with human resources and local residents. I will conclude this study by suggesting that continuous research for continuous development and development should be continued while doing so.

본 연구는 평창 동계패럴림픽의 개폐회식의 무대 구성과 연출 분석을 통해 국가 주요 이벤트의 문화 와 가치를 재조명하고 향후 장애인 대상 메가 이벤트의 무대 연출 연구의 기반을 마련하는 것에 연구의 목적으로 두었다. 이에 개폐회식의 무대 공간에서 이루어진 문화공연의 무대구성에 따른 각 장면별 연출 을 살펴보고 공간에서 이루어진 주제와 스토리, 표현요소와 무대연출을 통해 향유자가 경험한 의미와 가 치를 도출 하였다. 평창 동계패럴림픽의 문화 공연은 장애인 퍼포먼스와 비장애인 퍼포먼스, 다양한 장 르별 문화예술의 창의적이고 현대적인 무대 공간 연출을 스토리텔링 하면서 향유자에게 능동적 경험을 제공하였다. 향유자가 경험한 의미와 가치의 시사점을 다음 세 가지로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 다양한 장르의 문화예술을 무대 공간에 창의적이고 현대적으로 표현함으로써 개최국의 다양성을 선보이고 고유한 문화적 가치와 능력을 선보였다. 둘째, 장애인 퍼포먼스와 비장애인 퍼포먼스가 함께 무대 공간을 표현 하면서 경계를 무너뜨리고 다름을 인정하며 공존하는 세상을 만들겠다는 꿈과 비전을 전달하는 메시지 를 통해 패럴림픽의 정신과 평창 동계패럴림픽만의 정체성을 획득하였다. 셋째, 평창 동계패럴림픽이 개 최된 평창에서 평창의 문화자원 전통 아리랑과 새로운 아리랑을 인력자원 지역주민들과 함께 만들었다. 이것은 단순한 메시지 전달 뿐만 아니라 평창의 스토리텔링을 통해 새로운 공간의 이야기를 만든 것이 다. 그러므로 본 연구를 통해 평창 동계패럴림픽은 자국의 다양하고 고유한 문화적 가치의 위상을 높이 고 장애와 비장애의 경계를 무너뜨리고 공존하는 세상을 만들겠다는 꿈과 비전을 제시함으로써 정체성 을 획득하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 평창의 문화자원 전통 아리랑과 새로운 아리랑을 인력 자원 지역주민을 퍼포먼스로 참여시키며 평창의 공간에 새로운 자원들을 융합하여 창조적 공간의 스토리텔링 을 완성하였음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구 결과를 토대로 장애인 대상의 메가 이벤트 문화 공연이 진 행 될 시 공간에 다양한 자원들을 융합하고 활용하여 새로운 스토리를 만들고 문화의 고유성과 메시지의 정체성을 재창조 하며 문화콘텐츠로서 범위를 확장하고 저변을 확대하면서 지속적인 개발과 발전을 위 한 지속적인 연구가 이어져야 함을 제언하며 본 연구를 마무리하겠다.
