This study analyzes the narrative structure of the text by using semiotic methodology for the scenario based on the implications and myths of the character Seok-do Ma, the main character of the movie ‘THE OUTLAWS’ series, which is creating a new myth in Korea. The purpose is to identify the semantic structure characteristics of objects. As a result of the analysis, the contents are as follows. The conflict between the stability and chaos of our society in the superficial structure was created by the expression of selfishness versus the degree of selfishness in the deep structure. was manifesting The narrative structure of the two subjects of this study was very simple and almost similar. As long as only the material can be developed and the characters of Seok-do Ma are not rejected by the audience, ‘THE OUTLAWS’ series will likely continue to be produced for the time being.

본 연구는 국내에서 새로운 흥행 신화를 만들어 가 고 있는 영화 범죄도시 시리즈의 주동 인물인 형사 마 석도 캐릭터의 함의와 신화를 기저로 해당 시나리오를 기호학적 방법론을 활용하여 텍스트의 서술구조를 분석 한 다음 연구대상들의 의미 구조 특징을 규명하는데 목 적이 있다. 분석한 결과 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 표층 구조에 존재하는 우리 사회의 안정과 혼돈에 대한 대립 은 결국 심층구조에 존재하는 정도 대 이기의 발로로 생성된 것이었으며 이를 바탕으로 담화구조에서 ‘악의 무리 근절을 통한 사회안정의 실현’을 구현하고 있었 다. 본 연구대상 두 편의 서술구조는 매우 단순한 구조 였으며 거의 유사하였다. 이는 다양한 소재 개발이 가 능하고 형사 마석도 캐릭터가 관객들에게 외면을 받지 만 않는다면 범죄도시 시리즈는 당분간 제작이 이어질 것이다.
