Coronavirus diseas (COVID-19), which is striking our society these days, is urgently requesting the formation of correct aesthetic attitudes and values for the natural environment and the practice of an eco-friendly life. Thus this paper explores the direction of environmental aesthetics education suitable for the age of climate change based on discussions about various theories of environmental aesthetics. First, the relationship between environmental aesthetics and ethics, and the strengths and weaknesses of cognitive and non-cognitive approaches to environmental aesthetics are reviewed in turn, and then environmental aesthetics educational methods for enhancing aesthetic sensitivity are explored to overcome the climate crisis. We propose the direction of environmental aesthetics education that is judged appropriate for the environment.

요즈음 우리 사회를 강타하고 있는 ‘코로나 19’는 자연환경에 대한 올바른 미적 태도와 가치관의 형성 그리고 친환경적 삶의 실천을 절실 히 요청하고 있다. 이에 본 글은 환경미학에 대한 여러 이론들에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 하여 기후변화 시대에 적합한 환경미학교육의 방향에 대해 탐색한다. 먼저 환경미학과 윤리학의 관계, 환경미학에 대한 인지 적 접근모델과 비인지적 접근모델의 강점과 약점을 차례대로 검토한 다음에 미적 감수성 신장을 위한 환경미학 교육방법들에 대해 탐색함 으로써 기후위기의 극복을 위해 적합하다고 판단하는 환경미학교육의 방향을 제안한다.
