The purpose of this research is to develop a performance support tool for gamification-based instructional design for university instructors. To develop the tool, this study first examine elements of gamification, and then draws guidelines for instructional design. We developed the 1st version of tool and conducted an expert examination. And, we revised the 2nd version of tool and implemented an usability test. As a result of research, the gamification elements consist of story; goals; challenges; competition/cooperation; achievement/reward; and feedback. The tool presented a total of 10 steps as gamification instructional design steps. The tool in printed form provides a description of each phase, instructions, specific activities to choose from, examples, and worksheets. This gamifiication-based instructional design support tool is expected to provide practical help to instructors when designing courses applied gamification as a course management strategy to promote students' participation in college classes.

본 연구는 수업운영전략으로서 게이미피케이션을 적용하고자 하는 대학 교수자의 수업설계 및 계획활동을 안내하는 지원도구 프로토타입(인쇄물형태)을 개발하는 것이다. 설계·개발 연구방법을 활용하였으며, 연구 절차는 1) 문헌분석을 통한 수업설계 지침 도출, 2) 1차 수업설계 지원도구 개발 및 전문가 검토를 통한 타당화 확보, 3) 전문 가 검토 결과를 바탕으로 한 2차 수업설계 지원도구 개발 및 현장 교수자의 사용성 평가, 4) 사용성 평가 결과를 반 영한 최종 수업설계 지원도구 개발 순으로 진행하였다. 이 지원도구는 게이미피케이션 요소로서 스토리, 목표, 도전, 경쟁협력, 성취보상, 피드백을 확인하고, 게이미피케이션 적용 수업설계단계를 총 10단계인 필수 및 선택적 활동으 로 제시하고, 단계별 설명 및 수행지시문, 예시, 선택 가능한 구체적 활동, 워크시트 ,수업계획안 양식 등을 포함한다. 사용성 평가결과, 본 지원도구 프로토타입은 교수자의 게이미피케이션을 적용하는 수업계획활동에 대한 구체적인 안 내를 제공하는 것으로 긍정적으로 평가되었다. 본 연구의 의의는 게이미피케이션을 적용한 수업설계 단계를 제시하 고, 단계별 설명, 수행지시문, 선택 가능한 구체적 활동, 예시, 워크시트, 테크놀로지를 포함하는 수업설계 지원도구 를 개발함으로써 교수자가 게이미피케이션을 적용한 수업을 계획하는데 실질적인 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
