The study participants were selected from the parents of adolescent athletes as the population, and the study subjects were selected through an intentional sampling method. The study participants were divided into groups as the parents of active players, dropouts, and advanced teams, and data were collected through a total of 13 study participants. For data analysis, data were analyzed through domain analysis and classification analysis among cultural analysis methods. The resulting results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the career choices of dropout athletes through in-depth interviews with the parents of dropout athletes, participation status, awareness, economic support, coach recommendation, and respect for players' opinions were found. Second, as a result of examining the career choices of active athletes through in-depth interviews with the parents of active athletes, they were found to be awareness, leadership tendency, region, senior/junior relationship, and sports environment. Third, as a result of examining the career choices of advanced team players through in-depth interviews with the parents of advanced team players, it was found that coach recommendation, scouting, awareness, game participation, and financial support were found.

이 연구에서는 청소년 운동선수 부모의 진로선택 유형을 탐색하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구참여자를 청소년 운동선수의 부모를 모집단으로 선정하고, 의도적표집법을 통해 연구대상자를 선정하였다. 연구참여자는 현역, 중도탈락, 상급팀 진출한 선수의 부모로 각각 그룹을 구분하여 총 13명의 연구 참여자를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 문화 분석방법 중 영역분석과 분류분석을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중도탈락 운동선수 부모 의 심층면담을 통해 중도탈락 운동선수의 진로 선택유형을 살펴본 결과 출전여부, 인지도, 경제적 지원, 지도자 추천, 선수 의견 존중으로 나타났다. 둘째, 현역 운동선수 부모의 심층면담을 통해 현역 운동선수의 진로 선택유형을 살펴본 결과 인지도, 지도자 성향, 소속 지역, 선·후배 관계, 운동환경으로 나타났다. 셋째, 상급팀 진출 선수 부모의 심층면담을 통해 상급팀 진출선수의 진로 선택유형을 살펴본 결과 지도자 추천, 스카우트, 인지도, 경기출전, 경제적 지원으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 청소년 축구선수의 진로 교육에 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
