School symbol, a visual symbol of the school, is used in middle and high schools to express a sense of belonging and identity to the school, but the meaning and identity of the school table in elementary schools are disappearing. If you look at each school's website, there are many schools that do not have explanations or cannot be identified, but the older the year of establishment, the more severe it is. Accordingly, the visualization pattern analysis shown in the school table was conducted based on Gangwon-do, where there are many elementary schools with a long establishment year. The number of students in elementary schools in Gangwon-do is decreasing due to a decrease in the population, but on the contrary, the Gangwon-do Office of Education has invested a lot in school facilities and schools are improving. However, school uniforms, one of the school symbols, are gradually disappearing from the homepage. School uniforms serve as a medium for schools and students with the symbol and identity of the school, but elementary school uniforms in Gangwon-do do not. Accordingly, 338 schools were selected from among 373 elementary schools in 18 cities and counties, excluding 24 branches that use the same school as this school and those that do not have or cannot be identified on the website, and visualization patterns of school design were analyzed. As for the classification method, 18 cities and counties in Gangwon-do were divided into 4 districts: Yeongseo Northern, Yeongdong Northern, and Yeongdong Southern, and based on this, each school's website was collected. As a result, 285 (81.7%) of elementary schools in Gangwon-do were established before 1970, and the design of the school uniform produced during this period lacks design culture and technical infrastructure, resulting in less diversity in design and material. Gangwon-do is mostly surrounded by mountains, and there are many natural products in its materials, and green and blue colors are used a lot. This school uniform design led to similar shapes and designs, and the color is simple, so it is less symbolic and realistic compared to designs made using current illustrations and gradations. In addition, 27.2% of similar types of school uniform design using Mugunghwa, which can reduce the sense of belonging and identity to the school, so it requires systematic verification and management of the design. Therefore, elementary schools in Gangwon-do need to be improved not only by looking at tradition, but also by design of school uniforms suitable for the future of the school and the new era.

학교의 시각적 상징인 교표는 중학교와 고등학교에 서는 교복 등을 사용하여 학교 소속감과 정체성을 나 타내는 것으로 이용되고 있지만, 초등학교의 교표는 그 의미와 정체성이 사라지고 있다. 각 학교의 홈페 이지를 살펴보면 교표에 대한 설명이 없거나 식별할 수 없는 학교가 많은데, 설립연도가 오래된 학교일수 록 더 심하게 나타나고 있다. 이에 설립연도가 오래 된 초등학교가 많은 강원도를 기준으로 교표에 나타 난 시각화 양상 분석을 진행하였다. 강원도 초등학교 는 인구수의 감소로 학생 수가 줄고 있지만, 반대로 강원도교육청은 학교시설에 많이 투자하여 학교는 좋 아지고 있다. 하지만 학교 상징의 하나인 교표는 홈 페이지에서 점점 사라지고 있다. 교표는 학교의 상징 과 정체성으로 학교와 학생들과 매개체 역할을 하고 있지만, 강원도 초등학교 교표는 그 역할을 하지 못 하고 있다. 이에 강원도에는 18개의 시와 군의 373 개 초등학교 중에서 본교와 같은 교표를 사용하고 있는 24개의 분교와 홈페이지에 교표가 없거나 식별할 수 없는 학교를 제외한 338개 학교를 선정하여 교표 디자인의 시각화 양상 분석을 진행하였다. 분류방식 은 강원도의 18개 시·군을 영서 북부, 영서 남부, 영동 북부, 영동 남부로 4개 구역으로 나누어 제작된 연도와 디자인을 각 학교의 홈페이지를 이용하여 수 집하였고, 이를 바탕으로 형태적 요소 분석, 타입별 분석, 색상요소 분석, 색상 수, 지역적 상징요소로 분 류하여 표현적 특성요소를 분석하였다. 그 결과 강원 도의 초등학교는 1970년도 이전에 285개(81.7%)의 학교가 설립되었고, 이 시기에 제작된 교표디자인은 디자인 문화와 기술 인프라가 매우 부족하여 디자인 과 소재에서 다양성이 떨어진다. 강원도는 주변이 대 부분 산으로 둘러싸여 소재에서 자연물이 많고, 녹색 과 파란색을 많이 사용되었다. 이런 교표디자인은 비 슷한 형태와 디자인으로 이어졌고, 색상도 단순하여 현재의 일러스트레이션과 그러데이션을 이용하여 제 작되는 디자인에 비교하여 상징성과 현실성이 떨어진 다. 그리고 무궁화를 사용한 비슷한 형태의 교표디자 인이 27.2%인데, 이는 학교에 대한 소속감과 정체성 이 떨어질 수 있어서 디자인적인 체계적인 검증과 관 리도 필요하다. 이에 강원도 초등학교는 전통성만 바라보지 말고, 학교의 미래와 새로운 시대에 맞는 교표디자인으로 개선되어야 할 필요성이 있다.
