The purpose of this study is to explain the unsatisfied medical conditions and influencing factors of prison inmates. For the research model, Gelberg-Andersen's vulnerable class behavior model was used, and for the analysis model, a logistic regression model was used. As a result of the analysis, first, the medical non-compliance rate of prisoners was 59.8%, which was 2~6 times higher than that of other vulnerable groups. Second, the predisposing factor for unmet medical care was age. Also, enabling factors were exercise time, bedtime lighting, sleep disturbance, and experience of medical treatment. Moreover, the need factors were health problems such as chronic diseases, hopes to use the medical department, and experience of applying for external treatment.

본 연구는 구금시설 수용자의 미충족 의료 현황과 영향 요인을 설명하는데 목 적이 있다. 연구모형은 Gelberg-Andersen의 취약계층행동모형을 사용하였고 분 석모형은 로지스틱 회귀모형을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 구금시설 수용자의 의료미충족률은 59.8%로 다른 취약계층에 비해 2∼6배 높았다. 둘째, 미충족의료 영향 요인 중 소인요인은 연령이, 가능요인은 운동시간, 취침조명 수면방해, 의무관 진료 경험이었고, 필요요인은 만성질환 등 건강문제, 의료과 이용 희망과 외 부 진료 신청 경험으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 취약계층행동모형이 수용자에게 적용될 수 있는 가능성이 높으며, 교정의료처우 개선을 위해 재정 확보와 함께 운동시간 확대 및 조도 조정이 필요함을 시사한다.
